Two Pune-based printers, Anil Gujar and Sunil Juneja, who run a digital wide format printing press, have begun manufacturing eco-friendly furniture under the brand name of ‘Encore’ from tubular, multilayered paper cores. All rejected plastic, metal, steel, nails and even nylon strings are made use of. The furniture, including chairs, tables and sofa-sets, which started rolling out only two months ago from the company, is priced only between Rs 1,500 (£19.40) and Rs 5,000 (£64.70).
